Early German False Grained Parlor Set with Mauve Velvet Upholstery

This set, with its attractive work of wooden cut and frieze, is in rosewood finish enhanced with gilt paper decoration.

The set comprises three balloon-back chairs with exceptionally preserved mauve velvet and enhanced with gilt paper trim, a square table and a five drawers chest .

The chairs are 3 7/8"(9.8 cm) high; drawers chest 5 3/4"(14.7 cm) high, 4 1/2"(11.5 cm) wide; side of square table 3 1/4"(8.4 cm).

Excellent condition, note a small lack of frieze at the drawers chest.
