German Ensemble of Early Wooden Dollhouse Furnishings
Of light wood with painted cover to simulate richly-grained exotic rosewood, the ensemble has decorative beading at each edge, wooden drawer pulls, and gilded paper edging on the purple velvet upholstered sofa and four chairs. Included are glass front armoire with blue paper and purple interior, pier mirror, rectangular table, rolled back sofa, and four chairs with shapely-carved backs and elegantly-shaped legs.
The nice shaped sofa is 5 "(12.7 cm) wide. Chest of drawers and display cabinet are 4 5/8"(11.9 cm) high and 3 3/8"(8.5 cm) wide. Table is 1 7/8"(4.7 cm) high and 2 5/8"(6.8 cm) long. Chairs are 3 1/8"(7.8 cm) high. Mirror is 4 3/4"(12 cm) high.
Excellent condition. Minimal lack of decorative beading - light fading on sofa more visible with flash on pictures than in reality.
Germany. Circa 1860.
