6 7/8"(17.5 cm) tall without spectacular peaked hat.

This precious Milliner’s Doll has composition shoulder head, lovely painted features, pink cheeks, molded black painted hair swept back from her face with wings on the sides and braided bun, slender body with wooden arms and hands, lower wooden legs and feet, green band above elbows.

This dolls is very lovely dressed with lace, organza and silk gown. Under her skirt are folded papers with French hand-written ink script messages or fortune prophecies.

For example you can read as French morals or advices :

Bonne, mais un peu contrariante.
Kind, but a little annoying.

Toi, si tu ne te corriges de ta gourmandise.
You, if you do not correct yourself of your gluttony.

A son travail, à son bon coeur, ses parents devront le bonheur.
To her work, to her good heart, her parents will be happy.

Generally in good condition. Lower wooden legs are replacements.

The doll is preserved in a bent wood lidden box. Aat the bottom of the box you will discover a beautiful silk embroidery : a beautifully handmade work.

Standing upon a three-wheeled green painted tinplate base, you will love this rare mechanical toy.

With pressed bisque head on bisque shoulder plate, this doll has blue glass inset eyes, lightly brown feathered eyebrows, painted lashes, accented eye corners and nostrils, closed mouth, pierced ears with original red stone earrings, original long blonde mohair wig, carton torso and legs, wire upper arms, metal hands.

When you turn the key you will love to see this doll at play : the girl moves around in circles and waves arms up and down, turns head. This most appealing little child holds badminton racquet in hand and play badminton.

Generally excellent, tiny leather repair on one arm (see pictures).

The bentwood lidded box contains her little treasures : a brooch watch, a purse and its real French Napoleon III coin dated 1862, combs, perfume bottle, hand mirror, metal book with Paris views, metal picture holder. Her accessories to be so pretty and refined !

The bisque body has detailed modelling, peg jointed bisque arms and legs, separate thumbs, defined knees, painted blue mid-calf stockings, and two-strap black heeled shoes with black bows.

The doll is wearing its original costume enhanced with featherstich embroidery.

This mignonette has a swivel head with round-face, slightly elongated throat, cute pate, fixed blue glass eyes with spiral threading, painted lashes, multi feathered brows, accented nostrils and eyes corners, open mouth with tiny teeth, original blonde mohair wig over-cork pate. Her bisque torso having kid edged neck, shapely torso with defined navel, peg-jointed bisque arms and legs, slightly cupped hands, jointed fingers, separate thumbs, vertical-ribbed blue stockings to mid-thigh, two straps shoes with tiny heels and black modelled bows.

The doll is wearing a charming light blue dress, a beautiful lace hat and undergarments. She is carrying an antique jumping rope with wooden handles.

Marked 886 - 4 on back of the head - 8 1/4"(21 cm) tall.

Excellent condition. Rare to find this size of the 886 model.

This lovely doll attributed to Sustrac has the particularity to have ball-jointed elbows.

All-bisque mignonette with pressed bisque swivel head on kid-edged slender bisque torso, blue glass enamel inset eyes, delicately-painted features and brows, accented nostrils, closed mouth, wooden ball-joints at elbows, cut pate with original mohair wig (worn), peg jointed at shoulders and hips, bare feet.

Original silk and lace dress with tiny ribbons, muslin undergarments.

Marked BTE on torso.

The Sustrac patent, specific to miniature dolls, was filed on February 7, 1877. Schmitt et Fils filed a similar patent on April 30, 1879 for taller dolls.

The doll with kindly face is carrying tenderly an original all-bisque baby.

The doll wears her original costume of Governess in silk and lace, with black velvet bands, matching cape, muslin apron, undergarments, silk twill and tulle coiffe with two gold buttons. The costume is worn but original. She is the Nanny of your dollhouse for many years.
